Just to clarify further: When wielding any other weapon, for example my Grafted greatsword, the armament damage is 496, and levelling STR or DEX does increase R Armament 1. When wielding Ghiza's wheel specifically, it's stuck at 161. Levelling STR shows R armament 1 greyed out, and DEX doesn't increase it at all.

It’s at the “fun gimmick” level. Single-colossal R1 and R2 attacks are underwhelming. Ghiza’s in a bit of a special place as it has bleed, and its R2 is technically a multi-hit, but generally any situation where you can’t use its L2 saw attack to mass bleed something leaves it underwhelming. My dual colossal greatsword build so far has been a lot of fun. I'm using the greastword and the grafted and its pretty good but the low scaling of strength for the grafted greatsword does leave me thinking that in the mid to late game ill have to switch it out but it still looks awesome and its ability is really good for now

Being able to choose the Aow on the Greatsword already puts it ahead of Ghiza's but it also has a better moveset as well. Greatsword is a far more practical weapon.I swapped to it after using dual Jawbone Axes, and boy was it a good choice. The R2 can be tricky to pull-off without being interrupted, but it’s huge when it works.
